Worker Dead in Airport Construction

A construction worker has lost his life after an accident occurred at the McCarran International Airport,  which is located in the Las Vegas area.  The accident occurred as the worker was helping to build the new add on project of the international terminal.  The terminal he was working on has an estimated cost of $2.4 billion dollars and will be finished in 2012. 

The accident happened just before noon on Monday and involved a compact motorized earth moving shovel.  Officials are investigating the incident and have not released many details of the accident.  The man was taken to a local Las Vegas hospital where he died from his injuries.  Officials and other airport workers have expressed their condolences to the family.
