The state Workers Compensation Commission has noted that a large drop in the number of claims being filed this year compared to last year. In March of last year, the group had received from 2100 claims. At the same point this year, the group had only received around 1400 claims.
The current job market is one of the main factors for this large decrease in the number of claims filed. Many individuals are hesitant to be seen as going against their employer in this tough economic environment. Individuals do whatever they believe can help them keep their job. This is notalways the best idea.
