Jury Awards BP Workers $100 Million in Lawsuit

by Administrator 21. December 2009 02:38

A federal jury has recently awarded nearly more than $100 million dollars to 10 workers who claimed they were injured after being exposed to a toxic substance in a 2007 plant explosion.   The explosion was one of the worst industrial accidents in recent history which resulted in 15 people killed and at least 170 injured.

The jury deliberated for nearly one and a half days before coming to their decision that would end the three-week trial.

BP spokespeople have stated that the decision will appeal.
