A 72-year-old man was killed in a bicycle accident after he was struck by a car on S.C. 341 in Lee County, according to authorities.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital after suffering severe head and body trauma in the collision. The man was traveling south on U.S. 341 when he was struck by a Ford Taurus driven by a 79-year-old man. Officials have said that the driver of the Taurus is at fault for being inattentive while driving. The 72-year-old man was riding with two other cyclists who were uninjured.
