Mines Are Dangerous Work Environment

by Administrator 27. July 2009 00:54

Mines are one of the most dangerous work environments for workers all over the world.  Although the United States has some of the safest mining conditions for workers in the world, it is still a very dangerous profession.

A variety of working conditions make it particularly dangerous.  The heavy extraction machinery is one source of injury.  Collapse and cave in of walls in the mine are another source of injury.  These hazards and more are some of the mains reasons for mining to be a dangerous job.

Disney Monorail Accident Caused by Human Error

by Administrator 16. July 2009 04:45

The recent accident which took the life of a Disney monorail operator is being thoroughly investigated.  The investigation has turned up details that have likely pin-pointed the cause of the accident.

It was almost certain that the accident was caused by an employee that failed to properly activated a switch.  It is reported that the employee went over the radio and confirmed that he had activated the switch.  It is unsure what did not cause the switch to activate, as investigators do not believe that a mechanical malfunction was responsible for the accident.
