Dale E. Van Slambrook

Dale was born in Savannah, GA but his father’s job with the US Air Force took him all over the world. Ultimately the family planted roots in the Lowcountry. Dale graduated Goose Creek High School, headed to Clemson University, and earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina.

Dale began his career at our Goose Creek office and worked in personal injury, workers’ compensation, social security, domestic, real estate, bankruptcy and probate. He eventually narrowed his practice to personal injury, social security and probate. He works with clients throughout Summerville, Goose Creek and Moncks Corner.

In September 2009, he was appointed a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Goose Creek. That part-time position allows him to serve the community and practice law. Peers also nominated him to serve as president of the Berkeley County Bar for 2011.

Dale is married to Darlene (formerly Johnson) and they live in Goose Creek with their youngest son, Zachary. Their two grown children, Christina and DJ, are both Clemson graduates pursuing Masters degrees. Dale is an active member of the St. James United Methodist Church.

During his free time, Dale competes as a tri-athlete (swim, bike, run) and has completed the Iron Man World Championship in Hawaii and Florida, and the Boston Marathon (one of 20 he has run). Dale has also raced in every Cooper River Bridge Run since 1983.
